Drivers not Covered

Drivers not covered by the personal auto policy include:

  • Persons—other than relatives—who use the vehicle without permission (for example, a thief who steals the car is not considered an insured)
  • Persons—other than relatives—who use the vehicle with permission, but then exceeds the scope of that permission (for example, a neighbor who gets permission from the insured to borrow the car to run an errand, and then decides to drive to Florida for a vacation—is not considered an insured)
