Part IV

Part IV of a workers’ compensation policy is typically called something along the lines of Your Duties If Injury Occurs. In the event of an employee’s injury, the insured employer must:

  • Notify the insurer at once
  • Provide immediate medical attention to the injured worker, according to state law
  • Supply the insurer with the names and addresses of all injured workers and witnesses to the injury
  • Fully cooperate with the insurer and provide all legal documents related to the claim
  • Not make any voluntary payments for medical services
