Unacceptable Behavior (2020)

Lesson Progress:

The commissioner may discipline a licensee if it is determined that the licensee:

  • Is unqualified for a license or line of authority;
  • Violates an insurance law, statute, rule, or order;
  • Refuses to be examined or refuses to produce accounts, records, and files;
  • Provides information in the license application that is incorrect, misleading, incomplete, or materially untrue;
  • Obtains or attempts to obtain a license through misrepresentation or fraud;
  • Intentionally misrepresents the terms of an insurance contract or application;
  • Improperly handles money or forges another’s name; or
  • Is convicted of a felony, fails to pay child support, or fails to pay state income tax.
