The Marketplace is meant to be a place where individuals can see information about a variety of health insurance plans that are available in their area, and then purchase a plan through the site. In order to be eligible to purchase a plan through the Marketplace, the individual must:
- Live in the United States,
- Be a United States citizen or national,
- No be incarcerated, and
- Not be eligible for Medicare
This lesson will explain these criteria in more detail.
