Exclusions

A personal auto policy typically does not cover damage to vehicles under the following situations:

  • While the vehicle is used to carry persons for a charge;
  • When caused by war, rebellion, revolution, nuclear reaction, radiation;
  • The result of mechanical breakdown or failure, road damage to tires, wear and tear, freezing;
  • While involved in an organized or prearranged racing event;
  • An insured’s car that is rented or leased to others;
  • A vehicle seized by a government authority.
